MHB was appointed to provide geo-environmental design support for proposed retirement village complex in Kirknewton. The proposed development is for a new managers house that is part of a wider masterplan development concept for a new retirement village which will comprise a series of chalets (mobile caravans/homes) at various sizes with associated access and internal roads, utility infrastructure, drainage and landscaping.
Given the nature of the Site in terms of location and history, a Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessment (PRA) and Phase 2 ground investigation and assessment was implemented to assist in ensuring that geo-environmental ground conditions had been appropriately considered as part of the planning consents.
