MHB was employed by AMCOGiffen to carry out footbridge refurbishments at FB 090/216 Golf Street, FB 090/215 Brown Street and FB 090-213 Barry Links in Carnoustie.

The projects were all carried out primarily to improve the structural condition, however at the same time the opportunity was taken to improve accessibility. 

Accessibility related improvements included high contrast stair nosings to the stair treads, corduroy tactile strips at top and bottom of each flight and non slip surfacing of the landings and main span areas.

Works were to be concluded before June 2018 ahead of The Open at Carnoustie.
